Motorcycle licence in Munich: A1, A2, A and B196

Feel the wind – our motorcycle training is available in German or entirely in Russian.

Which class is right for you?

  • A1 from age 16: light motorcycles up to 125 cc and 11 kW.
  • A2 from age 18: motorcycles up to 35 kW – with us on the BMW F750 GS.
  • A with no power limit: directly from age 24, or from 20 if you’ve held A2 for at least two years.
  • B196: with a class B car licence, this code (Schlüsselzahl) lets you ride 125 cc bikes too after a training course – from age 25 and if you’ve held class B for at least five years.

Training in Russian

We offer motorcycle training in German and in Russian – in the theory room and on the practice ground. You can also take the theory test at TÜV (the official testing body) in Russian.

Code B196 – no test required

There’s no test for B196. You attend 4 double lessons of theory and 5 double lessons of practical training, 90 minutes each. We issue your certificate, and the Führerscheinstelle (driving licence office) adds the code to your licence. It’s only valid in Germany.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own protective gear?

You’ll need a helmet, gloves, sturdy boots and motorcycle clothing for your lessons. Talk to us before your first lesson if you don’t have any yet.

Can I do A and B at the same time?

Yes. You then attend the core theory content only once, plus the class-specific content for both classes.

How long is code B196 valid?

Indefinitely, but only in Germany. To ride abroad, you need class A1.

How much does a class A motorcycle licence cost?

For a first class A licence, the fixed costs come to €2.250: basic fee, online learning materials, twelve special drives and both tests. On top of that come practice lessons at €95 each. A1 and B196 have their own prices – see the price list.
