Frequently asked questions
Can I do the theory in Russian?
Yes. Theory lessons in Russian take place at both branches, usually on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 18:00 to 19:30. You can also take the theory test at TÜV in Russian.
How many driving lessons will I need?
That varies from person to person. Only the twelve special drives are mandatory. How many practice lessons you add depends on your experience – your instructor will tell you honestly when you’re ready for the test.
Can I start at 17?
Yes, with accompanied driving (BF17). You can start your training at 16½ and drive from 17 with a registered accompanying person.
Where do driving lessons start?
Driving lessons start and finish at the driving school – in Berg am Laim or Sendling, depending on where you register.
How long does the training take?
That mainly depends on how often you come to theory lessons and take driving lessons. If you come twice a week, you’ll complete the 14 double lessons of theory in around seven weeks; you plan your driving lessons with your instructor in parallel.
How much does a class B licence cost in total?
The fixed costs come to €2.250: basic fee, online learning materials, the twelve mandatory special drives and both tests. On top of that come practice lessons at €95 each – how many you need varies from person to person – and the Führerscheinstelle fees.
